Biography - Jan Robinson, Registrar & CEO, College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Ms. Robinson has 15 years of experience in the area of professional self regulation in Ontario, Canada.  She has led two different regulatory organizations during that time - Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.  She is known for leading high performing organizations and many of her initiatives have set best practices in the industry.

Ms. Robinson has conducted research in the areas of professional competence, organizational accountability, performance measurement, and the integration of internationally educated professions into the Canadian workforce.  She strives for excellence and has led several interprofessional initiatives both within health and in the broader regulatory, health policy community.

Ms. Robinson has spearheaded international initiatives related to the global community both in physiotherapy and occupational therapy.  She participated in advisory groups related to NAFTA, and has led and successfully concluded three separate rounds of mutual recognition agreement discussions in Canada.  She is a sought after advisor and speaker at multiple tables in Ontario, Canada and abroad.
