Travel
For travelers arriving by plane, useful information can be found on the site of Geneva International Airport.
Ground Transportation
Geneva Airport will offer you a free ticket into town, valid throughout the ‘Tout Geneve’ zone of the Geneva Public Transport system. You can get the free ticket from the automatic distributor, located in the baggage claim area. It’s valid for 80 minutes and is available to arriving passengers only.
Tourists staying in Geneva will also receive a ‘Geneva Transport Card’ for free travel on the Geneva Public transport system throughout their stay. You will receive this card when you check in at your hotel.
Visas and identity papers
For European residents travelling in Europe, an identity card is normally sufficient. However, some airlines require passports for certain destinations. It is therefore preferable to ask the airline for information directly. For non European residents please check the website of the Federal Office for Migration for an overview of identity papers and visa provisions for entry into Switzerland.
For other questions about passports, identity cards and visas necessary for your trip, please contact your travel agency directly, or the Police de Sécurité Internationale (PSI).
Visa Request
Should you require a visa to attend the conference, you may request a letter of invitation when registering online. Please be advised that this letter of invitation will only be sent by e-mail to the participant’s e-mail address.
