Arriving in Geneva
For travelers arriving by plane, useful information can be found on the site of Geneva International Airport for getting from and to the Airport.
Geneva Airport offers a complimentary ticket into town, valid throughout the ‘Tout Genève’ zone of the Geneva Public Transport system. You can get the free ticket from the automatic distributor, located in the baggage claim area. It’s valid for 80 minutes and is available to arriving passengers only.

Free Public Transportation
Tourists staying in Geneva will also receive a ‘Geneva Transport Card’ for free travel on the Geneva Public transport system throughout their stay. You will receive this card when you check in at your hotel.

Travel Visas and Identity Papers 
For European residents travelling in Europe, an identity card is normally sufficient for crossing borders, however, some airlines require passports for certain destinations. Please confirm directly with your airline what form of identification is required.
