25 September 2026—WHPA leaders at the UN General Assembly will highlight that chronic understaffing, poor working conditions and unsustainable investment are leaving health systems ill-prepared for the workforce demands of a pandemic. Investment in the health workforce is needed now to build a pandemic-ready health workforce.
